Cefuroxime Sodium Injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat a variety of conditions such as Lyme disease; infections of the ears, lungs, urinary tract, etc. caused by bacteria. This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a history of kidney diseases.This medication is given by injection into a muscle or vein as directed by your doctor, usually every 8 hours. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.

This medication may interfere with certain lab tests (including certain urine glucose tests), possibly causing false test results. Make sure lab personnel and all your doctors know you use this drug.
Indications
Susceptible mild to moderate infections including pharyngitis/tonsillitis, acute maxillary sinusitis, chronic bronchitis, acute otitis media, uncomplicated skin and skin structure, UTIs, gonorrhea, early Lyme disease.
